I just turned 50 in December and ride with an above the knee
artificial leg.

lost about 3 weeks training time. I was pleased, though, considering how
much rain we had this year.

I try to get at least 4000 miles, 5000 is my
real goal, but health and weather play some
role in the overall mileage. I don't count
indoor miles either...
