Aye, both good tunes!

I agree with your opinion of '60s music. I don't think anyone will be
listening to much of the 2005 music 40 years from now. Good to have
Dylan and a few of the other aging icons still with us and creating
music. Even Donovan has a new album out - a strange one, but fun to
listen to. Heard him being interviewed on WNYC during the holidays.

Well Maggie,
I am deleting the group. More *******s than I thought. You seem to be
the light of reason. Nit pickers I don't need. Still enjoying riding,
just not the majority of posters on here.
If these idiots can't appreciate that I did in fact do some things in my
youth that were outrageous and highly illegal, like 160+ in a hot rod
Mustang or close too 200 MPH in a very hot rod motorcycle I will leave
them to their presumptious, lived in a shell, lives. I was a very wild
youth and still am a very wild adult.
Thanks for the posts.
Bye.

Well Bill, I can believe the car stories and the stories of a wild
youth. My husband was a gear head in the sixties. If anyone lives in
Jersey they are familiar with the car races that went on at night on
the highway near the famous "Rutts Hutt" (best hot dogs in the
world)...They had car races, motorcycle races, and they were constantly
doing things that they still sit around with their beer and laugh
about.

When people hear the stories they can't believe they are true, but I
was there and they were true. Those cars were fast and furious. And the
guys were all maniacs. There was that certain crowd of guys in the
sixties who spent most of their lives souping up their cars, racing
them, and living near the edge of insanity when racing. I knew them
well.

So your stories of your youth are not far fetched for me. Not everyone
will believe stories from your past. As long as you know they are true,
what else matters? Why fight to make people believe you? They are your
memories and no one can take them from you. As for me, I will not tell
stories of my past. The sixties was a very strange time. To me it was
"THEE GENERATION" and there will never be a decade again to compare.
Plus, my "present" is wacky enough. :-)
Don't stop believing.
All Good Things,
Maggie

I love Donovan, (Catch the Wind is my fav) I didn't know he had a new
album out. I can't believe I said the word album again. Oh the days
of the 45 rpm and the wonderful albums with cool artistic album covers.
Wiping the dust off them and trying not to scratch them.

Why was Paul on the cover without shoes. And if you play the album
backwards, is he really dead? Funny times.

I've thought for a long time that the Dave Clark Five, the Animals, and
Dusty Springfield are under-rated.

If you were the ask the still-alive Beatles, they would probably put the
blame on Gerry and the Pacemakers instead of the DC5. (Although I remember
reading somewhere that Paul and Gerry buried the hatchet.)

Now you see, I was under the impression that the tiff you're talking
about was between /Tom/ and Jerry.

Sorry. Just kitten around....
