Web site of interest

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I pointed it to target heart rate calculator but there are many.
And it is more useful than taking out a library book.

looks like most bikes are 50% off and free shipping.
Sadly only deliver within the States.

eg. fix/fwl Windsor Track bike only $300 MSRP$795

That one seems to give a pretty low rate. It kept defaulting my max to
162 (from my age), even though my max is 180+. At the 85% rate they show
I am barely breathing and I can ride 162 all day. That one flaw would
make me question anything else they have posted since fitness is not
just between these two ironclad limits postulated by a formula.

Like I said there is alot more to the site than just that one calculator.
How you feel is another way they use to estimate max.
They use resting HR but do not use sex difference which is different than
others. It is just a guideline which it states. A previous thread showed
there are a lot of different ways to measure max HR.
Max HR is not the center of the whole fitness question anyway. It is just
something to add to the whole picture.
Nothing is a golden ruler when measuring fitness. But we still need to keep
fit.
What is your BMI for instance?
Exercise physiology would be a basic course for anyone to start with if they
really want to know what their body is doing.
Disagreeing with one measurement does not make the whole site unworthy.
It might be perfect for someone who has not exercised religiously all their
life like you.
Do as you see fit all the way.
