what to look for in a bike?
I am looking to buy a new bike for about $400 max.
I'm 15.

-what is the price range of bikes?
-what should i look for in a bike?

The price range of bikes is quite large. $50 to about $9000.

What you should look for? It's hard to say as you didn't say what type of riding and bike your looking to get. MTB, cruiser, BMX, road, hybrid, Cyclocross etc. You look for different things in different types. In general though, quality, fit and appropriate type for your intended use.

my son is a BMX street rider and his bike was 2,000 but he has been riding awhile, and that is parts he has bought for seperately for some time....
