am i to small to handle a crotch rocket?? - Cycling Mob: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking and More

im 5'3 and 120 pounds. im very tiny. i have friends that are going to teach me how to ride a crotch rocket and then buy one when i learn. I found a size 600. My friends said that they can lower it for me so that i can touch the ground. Is a 600 to big for me or will I be just fine? Does anyone know anyone as little as me that rides a crotch rocket with no problem??

I'm shorter than you are and just started learning to ride this summer. I started really small and am working my way up. Just take your time learning and don't make a impulse purchase. I have tried many different bikes (no crotch rockets because they are all to big), but the highest seat height I found I could fit comfortably was about 28 inches. I have been told that with practice and as my experience grows, I might be able to move up. I would suggest going to bike shops and trying diff bikes. You have to be able to pick it up! As far as engine size, I would suggest trying the 600 before you buy it. If you know how to ride and know what to expect - that should be ok. Good Luck!
