what bike, and how much a day so loose weight?

i can't jog anymore because of shin splints, a doctor told me i should try to cycle instead of run. the one major question i have is what kind of bike do i get without spending 500 dollars. i would be using it on streets and paths. if someone could give me an example of what kind of bike i would appreciate it. weather it be a mountain bike with shocks and such or a street bike with the skinny tires. i have no idea how much i should even ride, some have told me 5 miles a day is good to stay in shape and loose some weight and some have said an average of ten miles a day.

When you bike every your body going to fit and healthy because biking its also a exercise. I think you will loose weight into a 20 pound every week and biking its good to our body and to prevent also the disease to come . Biking is a good hobbies because you can join to your friends going somewhere in any place and going in any place with no gas refill.

Biking is indeed a good exercise.The amount of weight you loose depends upon your body weight and stamina.It also depends on how many hours you ride them.
