I have noticed some cyclists with 2 lights at the front but only 1 at the back. Are you more worried about drivers coming out in front of you than being hit from the back?

I worry more about being seen from behind cos you can, to a degree, act on what happens in front of you like a car pulling out. If a car doesn't see you from behind it could plow right into you, not alot you can do if that happens.

Where am I? How did I get here? Anyway, if I had to wear the ridiculous togs and wierd get up designed to somehow make it safe to pedal a tiny contraption on roads in concert with 16 wheelers and crazy auto drivers...I wouldn't be concerned about how my ass or pretty helmet appeared whether coming or going!
PS: Sorry, I thought the issue was appearance! I would want as many lights as I could dangle from my body and, oh god, my bicycle!
