Hi,
I am an amateur bike rider. I was thinking of taking a trip that would take
about 70 miles this summer. Does anybody know how long this would take biking?
Any insight would be awesome!!

Do you mean 700 miles? 70 is just half a day (or less), even if pretty
slow.
700 is more "trip-ish" -- give it 9-10 days, and enjoy.

Some people can do 70 miles in 3 hours. Some can't do it at all.
Taking a wild guess, someone who's fit but without much recent cycling
experience, riding a hybrid or a road bike, on terrain that's mostly flat,
stopping for rest breaks and meals, might do 70 miles in 6-8 hours.
But there are too many variables, none of which you've resolved in your
question, to really provide more than a wild guess.
What kind of bike? What's the longest distance you've ridden, how long did
it take, and how did you feel afterwards? How's your aerobic fitness? How
hilly is the terrain? What will you be carrying? What will you be wearing?
How high is your pain threshold?
