And you conjur up an image off a guy in our area. He once did the legendary Assault on Mt. Mitchel on a 40 lb. 3-speed "beach" type bike with big chrome fenders. He wears knee socks, shorts that are about 15 years old, a t-shirt, an old styrofoam helmet, and he can kick anyone's ass around on any climb around. But regarding Freds ... I think the spelling has even drifted. Technically, shouldn't it be Phreds? Bob C. |
